SURGICAL SERVICES

Surgery can be a scary thought, but rest assured that we will typically offer as many conservative treatments as possible (unless otherwise requested) before we suggest surgical intervention. Please note that there are more that we do, which may not be listed on this page.

Surgery can be performed in our office or at the hospital. Generally, smaller procedures are done in-office to save both time and money. We sterilize all of our instruments in-house and offer pre-operative antibiotics for increased safety. While we cannot put you to sleep in the office, we do offer some Valium and gently numb up the surgical site. We drape the site as well so you won't be able to see anything, and once you are numb you should not feel anything either. For bigger procedures (requiring hardware or more work) Dr. Wang has surgical privileges at McLaren Bay. Much like the office, pre-operative antibiotics are typically given for increased safety. We also try to do the bare minimum anesthesia for patient safety, and typically numb the area up to reduce the anesthesia needed to keep you comfortable. Of course, it is always your choice as the patient to request a certain location if you have a preference. To find out more, please feel free to get in touch with us.
